I got to see Tyler again now that he is six months old and sitting up for a few moments all by himself. I didn't think he could get any cuter than he was 3 months ago, but in fact, he did. I just love his beautiful blue eyes! We did the session at Tyler's home and took advantage of their beautiful courtyard light for many of these. I sometimes get questions from other photographers and clients about the type of lighting that I use for my sessions. I dont bring any special lights. I use 95%-100% available natural light and only fill with flash if I absolutely need to. I use very fast lenses opened up wide (f/1.2-2.8) so their eyes and face are the focus and background is blurred out. With babies, floors work great because they lift their little heads and you can see the light reflected in their eyes. In the shots with the football, he is simply sitting on a black piece of fabric by a window.
